Domonicque Tatum
Army infantryman Domonicque Tatum, served with the 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment out of Fort Carson, Colorado. He was deployed in Iraq from 2003 to 2004, serving primarily in Ramadi and Fallujah. In country, Domonicque lost 16 members of his unit in one day when a helicopter was shot down. That day changed him. By the time he returned stateside he was a different person than when he left. He was aggressive and hyper-vigilant. He had become one of the 300,000 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). With help from the VA and a veteran peer support group, Domonicque finds the camaraderie and friends he misses.
