I wrote "silent war" because the world still seems to see most fathers, after a divorce with children, as the evil parent, assuming the worst. Thus his fight to be a good father is unseen and not heard... except by you. You wrote "He fights the battles, but what for?" Simple answer to that question is he has no choice... this war you don't decide to enlist in. If you love your kids you just fight...
There is a lot I could say here about your comment, I could even mention something about "her" in all this... But there seems no purpose in that.
I don't know if I am "somebody"... but as a father who loves their kids, I do know your father is luckier then you may think. I see your words and they are not silent, but your own appreciation for your father is louder still!
With a son like you there is nobody out here that could ever show him more. That's all he has and is fighting for.
