Please forgive me for addressing this without your proper Marine rank. I do not know it and because of that, used "Mr." I do not mean any disrespect.

Thank you for sharing your story with the world. You are a true inspiration to us all.

I was first introduced to you via "Generation Kill." Your positive warrior attitude, good nature and dedication to physical fitness really showed through in the film. I then went out and read the book "Generation Kill" and Mr. Fick's book "One Bullet Away." I have since watched "Generation Kill" a total of five times.

I just watched "The Way of The Warrior". It was a great piece but really left me feeling emotional. I am having trouble articulating my exact thoughts but I will take a stab at it; it breaks my heart that someone like you, someone who I admire, is or was feeling so alone in this world...and is / was at such a low point. Whatever it's worth, please know that there is a community organizer in Boston, MA who really admires you.

Keep your head up. You have friends in this world that you didn't even know you had.

He wants to carry that for us, he commands us to give it all to him (great AND terrible). He is the "Force Recon" of stress. Thank you for sharing your testimony with such absolute honesty, courage and positiveness. Believe, Rudy Reyes, you are a Child of God, A Warrior, A Leader, A Teacher...and most of all a true inspiration for one to BELIEVE that "With God ALL Things Are Possible". Your testimony has inspired me and deepened my faith. So,Rudy Reyes,go through that door(s) He has opened for you, scoop up your brothers and go join God's Creatures. We are all waiting for you! Watching "The Way of the Warrior", brought up many emotions that are there for any parent that sees the results of bad parenting. I have two sons and hearing your early life's story I am so blessed they have been spared the pain and suffering you & your brothers experienced. The details you share about your private life are indelible in your mind & sharing those thoughts are obviously painful for you. Thank you for being the Warrior and accept you new title as "Teacher".
